Community membership does not imply professional verification or eligibility for paid Runtime projects. Verification does not guarantee employment, freelance work, client projects or future availability.
The proposed standard path begins with a minimum of four months of active community participation. Applications and assessments are under development; the steps below explain the intended process.
Join the community and participate actively. Contribute to discussions, learning sessions or shared work so your involvement can be observed over time.
Choose the engineering areas you want to be assessed in and describe your experience. Community membership alone does not start or complete verification.
Share your CV or professional profile, relevant projects and examples of your contribution. The review looks at your experience and the work you can explain.
Discuss the fundamentals and decisions relevant to your engineering discipline. Explain how you approach problems, trade-offs and technical constraints.
Complete a task relevant to the capability being assessed. The review considers the quality of the work, testing, security decisions and documentation where applicable.
Walk through your work with an assessor. Explain your decisions, respond to questions and show how you would adapt your approach when requirements change.
Review how you work with others: ownership, reliability, teamwork, professional conduct and your ability to receive and apply feedback.
Runtime reviews the evidence from the assessment. Engineers who meet the internal standards at the time of evaluation receive Runtime Verified Engineer status.
Verification records the assessment outcome. It is not a promise of universal expertise or automatic selection for work.
Technical knowledge matters. So does the quality of the work you produce and how you contribute to a team.
Fundamentals, problem solving, engineering judgement and the quality of your work.
Testing, documentation, reliability, ownership and attention to the system’s constraints.
Communication, teamwork, conduct and how you receive and apply feedback.
Businesses may seek suitable engineers through Runtime. Runtime may also accept a project or tender and assemble verified members to execute it.
Matching depends on assessed skills, relevant experience, availability, project requirements and professional fit. Passing verification does not guarantee paid work.
How business engagements workAn alternative assessment path may recognize substantial professional experience without identical community tenure requirements. Its criteria are under development.
Experience can inform assessment; it does not automatically confer verified status.
Yes. Community participation has value in its own right. Speaking, mentoring, organizing and leading projects do not require Talent Network involvement.
