OUR STORY

Build together.

An engineering community founded in Tanzania, open to the world. A place to think deeply, share what you are building and find people to move it forward with.

More room to think. More people to build with.

AI can reduce the time spent on routine coding. We want to use that room to ask better questions, explore bigger ideas and build beyond familiar web and mobile apps. Share unfinished work, find complementary skills and think through the hard parts together.

Grow with AI. Keep your own understanding.

Using a tool is only part of engineering. Understanding systems, questioning outputs and explaining decisions still matter when the tool is unavailable. Runtime Sessions give members space to speak their minds, defend an approach and deepen their knowledge through discussion, talks and practical experiments.

Make demonstrated ability easier to find.

A strong CV does not show the whole picture. We are developing a verification pathway that combines sustained community participation with technical screening and interviews. It aims to help engineers access paid projects and employment, and help organisations find candidates with demonstrated skills.

RUNTIME VERIFIED · PLANNED PROGRAMME

Trust earned through participation and technical depth.

The planned pathway starts after at least four months of active membership, followed by technical screening and interviews. Time in the community alone will not earn verification.

Our initial focus is software development, DevOps and cybersecurity, with other engineering disciplines to follow as the platform grows. Candidates will be assessed against defined technical criteria.

THE PERSON BEHIND RUNTIME

Joshua Urasa

Founder · Technology enthusiast

Joshua is curious about technology across disciplines: how things work, what they can become and what people can build together. His interests extend across software, infrastructure, security and engineering beyond any single specialism.

He started Runtime Collective to bring that curiosity into a shared space, where people can exchange ideas, challenge their understanding and turn individual efforts into work they can move forward together.
